It should be attached to a stud on the transaxle located in the lower front left area down by the starter...or at least that is where it's located on my '03 SS.

There's a ground on the tranny by the starter as mentioned above

There is also a ground underneath the ignition module bracket IIRC

Follow the negative battery cable from the battery. I'm pretty sure it leads to the grounds on the tranny.

What is the "big 3" anyway?

It's making the wires a heavier duty for these 3 components

1) Alternator positive cable that runs to the positive terminal of the battery
2) Negative battery cable that runs from the battery to the vehicles chassis
3) Chassis grounding cable that runs to the engine block

5 more horsepower from upgrading ground and power wire sizes? lol I don't think so

and I hate to say it- but if you really have a true 7000 watt system, you're going to need to do a lot more than upgrade the 'big 3'. 7000 watts into 12 volts, is like 585 amps. Even if that is 100% class D sub amps, and you've got no main amps, they're still only 90% or so efficient- so that would give you an actual draw of 650 amps- that's a TON of power. 4 gauge is going to be nowhere near sufficient for that, and I'd imagine you'll have to either run dual alternators, or at least a larger alternator adapted in.
