7th Gen ('06-'07): Another Lifter Tick Story
So as the title says pretty sure I've got a bad lifter. Ticks when cold and dissapear once warm. First time it happened was yesterday and I'm going to throw in some mystery and hope it quiets her down. But I know I'm going to wanna just swap em all out anyway, at 94k miles I think it should get done lol anyway wondering if anyone suggests a certain brand over oem? Also, do the LS4 use the LS7 lifters? Anything else recommended I do while I'm there? Thanks guys!
I can say for sure that ls4 and ls7 lifters are not interchangeable. As far as I know, all of the displacement on demand / AFM LS engines use a funky looking lifter. There is a picture of one in the link below:

In order to use regular LS lifters, you'd need to delete the DOD system.

I hear ya man I need to hurry up and pay mine off too. Got my wedding coming up and I'm applying for my first mortgage soon too lol
But so what consists of deleting the dod?

IMO the real reason people do this swap is to be able to run a decent sized aftermarket cam. The stock lifters limit how big of a cam you can run, and the ls engines respond really well to a beefy cam swap.
