Red face Am i ready for pulley drop!?

Current set up on my 04 s/c mc...k&n cai, speed daddy headers, custom 3" piping all the way back, 180 tstat, ac delco plugs and wires (stock temp) and egr delete. Anything else i should modify before dropping to a 3.4? Also, any clue on what im pushing hp wise? Quarter mile wise with this set up?

What are you running now? 3.5? Seeing any KR currently?

I would recommend getting a scan gauge such as an Aeroforce. Can get it from zzp, etc.

I'd definitely recommend scanning for it. With a gauge you can see how much K/R you are getting when your on the throttle. KR = Detonation, too much detonation, you lose lol. Engine goes boom. With those mods and stock pulley your probably not seeing much KR? Not sure about a 3.4 though. If you get the 3.4 I'd get a tune for sure!

You gotta pay to play.

Scangauge2 can also read KR. Sometimes those go on sale cheap, I picked one up for $119

Or you can purchase HPTuners and learn to tune yourself That program can read all the parameters of a gauge as well as make changes.

Also, you will need to go colder spark plugs for the pulley drop.

If you aren't getting your car custom tuned... and buying an off the shelf one... I would kind of recommend just going to a 3.6

Wideband tuning is the way to go, it gets your fuel trims perfect as opposed to having to guess.

Get a modular pulley system. But you're gonna need a puller to get your current s/c pulley off.
