Default aaaaaannnnd jack is down again

Ok so I'm getting in the car about to go to work and when I turned the key, nothing. This haplened before but after a few tries it fires up. This time it didn't. I wish I didn't brush it off when it happened last time. But I hear the click. I'm sure I hear the fuel priming but I can't be sure because of the rain. But all the regular lights came on. Jus no crank. I'm sure its the starter but wanted to be sure I tried to give it some taps but its not a lot of room and I can't really see where I'm hitting. What does this sound like to some of you guys. Also I got the starter tester a while ago, idk what job I was doing but I took the starter and had it tested and they said it was fine. But its not in my logs so I don't remem er when that was

Lights on, but clicking is usually the battery not having enough CCAs to turn it over?

After you try a few times, do you notice the lights dimming slightly?

No mike, the lights seem fine, and the gauge for the battery seems fine. Just got this battery too that would be weird

Check your connections for corrosion, and make sure everything is connected and grounded good.

K so I took off the battery and put it back on still nothing. Then I attempted to hit the starter and something sparked down there. Then I noticed my hammer was wet so yea that's it for now. Hooked it up to my scan tool and I'm getting 11.5 volts I'm guessing I'm missing the other 5 because of the lights are on. Looked at the message box and service traction and the battery light is on. But honestly I think the battery light was always on at startups

How long ago did you get the battery?

If you alternator isn't charging well, it could prematurely kill a battery too.

Remove both and get them bench tested. Take it to the place you bought the battery and maybe get a replacement for free?

I had the same problem with my car not starting, it ended up being the alternator and the starter. I think the starter was my stupid fault because I kept trying to start it. I was at school which was about an hour away and I really didnt want to have to call a tow a truck.

Now after that it started as soon as I put the key in the start position. I'm nkt sure what this can be now
