Question 79 350 issues

when i bought my monte it ran fine.when i took it to get inspected because of theft it died at almost every street light.now it wasnt reqisterd for at least 3 years prior to me buying it.i put new gas in it and i think the old gas is just about out of the tank.the last time i went to start it,it idled like it should.what it was doin before is at idle when i gave it gas and held it say at 2krpms,it would seem like it was drowing itself in gas.i had to tap the gas to keep it running.it does this while driving to.holding at 35mph it just dies.does anyone have any ideas on what this is.if you need some more info let me know.i know the motor is a 79 gm crate 350.

sounds like your fuel filter might be stopped up. The '50 Chevy truck that my dad and I restored will do that in a minute if you let the fuel filter get too dirty.

check the choke, replace your fuel filter, maybe even take some carb cleaner to it

well i just changed the spark plugs, wires, distrubitor, rotor and all that with the electric.my dad and i work with the timing as much as we can.found out the carb can not be tuned.and the harmonic balancer doesnt have any marking on it what so ever.but it does not die anymore like it was.still alil small and slow for my tastes but all in good time will it get a transplant.pics are still in the makings for those who wanted to see it.tonight is my first night taking it out.wish me luck.

Does that thing have air shocks on it in the back or what? Because holy hell does it sit high in the rear.

Oh, and where's the center caps for the wheels?
