Default 73 Monte 350 cui Engine in Hungary

Heres the story of the engine build up of my 73 Monte Carlo.

The engine is a 350cui V8 manufactured in december 1972
The previous owner coocked it and left the water inside the block.

1st time i saw the car was in November 2014

Mildly cooked but hardly stuck

getting ready to embrace the new parts

mud on piston it worse, then mud on tire

this new dude looks better then the muddy one

december 72 it is

not much about the tranny rebuilding stock th350 rebuild with a full kit.

Engine lower part is done

the top comes next

it got new paint

we knew it would take time until we hear the engine running so we wrapped in for a bit more sleep 2018 may
Also I would like to say a big thank you to my engine mechanic who did a very good job on the engine.
Too bad he had no opportunity to have the honor to start it

Then as I mentioned earlier the car restoration was on pending for about a 2 years
The engine had to wait only a year
So heres is the 2nd part of the engine project (2015 may)

my wife looks a bit shocked

apologies for the wrong order of pics
