4t65e-hd swap
The GTP is probably gonna be here tuesday, I'm planning a top swap. Im also considering a tranny swap, other than the passenger side axle what would need to be changed on my monte?

The diff and diff housing also (housing is bigger, hence the need for a different passenger axle).

Just do the Diff w/housing and the passenger side axle. You don't want the whole tranny because the gear ratios are different (2.92 in the GTP and 3.29 in yours). If you swapped the whole tranny you would have to flash the PCM. Plus the non-HD ratios are better for acceleration.

Well im going to be getting a programmer, so the PCM should be a problem. I wasn't aware of the different gear ratios, but thanks for the heads up, we already got alot of work ahead of us, and u just gave us a little less.
