ok i was in south padre this past week and i met up with a monte owner and we were just talking about the engine and stuff and he was a pretty big chevy guy and he was saying that the 3800 v6 is just the v8 with the 2 cylinders choped off. i thought this was pretty cool just because that means our engine was made to handle 8 cylinders and isnt just a budget v6

 

the old 4.3L v6 are the same way...
