what do either of you know about HP tuners, explain this credit thing and credits per year/car? I have absolutely no clue, and what could it do for a pretty much stock 3.9 2006 monte? the only mod I have is a CAI, might add a better sounding exhaust but that is about all for my monte, thanks

HPTuners is software for a laptop. You run it, and plug your car into the OBDII port under your dash.

Every car has its own VIN#, so HPTuners makes you buy credits for each VIN you want to tune. Once you buy the VIN you can edit that car as much as you want.

You get 8 credits. You can buy just your car for 2 credits, or you can buy every Monte that is your year for more credits.

On a stock car, you can do a few changes, but tuning is a very difficult thing to do. Requires a lot of reading and knowing what to do.

-there is some stuff i believe, but i'm not sure, poke around on www.60degreev6.com

-Credits are use of tuning abilitys per PCM as everytime the tuner is pluged in, it reads that it is an a different (incripted) PCM, so you can only tune 1 PCM per Credit

-You could change shift points, rpm limits, speed limits, fool around with A/F ratios, you can change spark curves, fuel curves, possibly make more power, but wouldnt be worth it with out a few more minor mods.
