I wonder does other people Monte carlo with the 3.9 only give them about 330miles on full tank? is there any way I could get more MPG.

RE: 3.9 save gas
I've been getting about 24 mixed driving... and about 29.5 interstate (around 75 mph) and about 32!!! highway. (60 mph) Keep it below 70, it does wonders..... K&N helps my car as well. Oh, and all these were with AC on except the 32 at 60 mph.

As you can see K&N's part number is 33-2334. Stock replacement drop-in filter. You should be able to pick it up for like 50$ or so, at a local place, expect 56-70$ shipped depending on where you buy it.
If you're doing an oil change, go with Synthetic. I really believe that this not only protects the engine better, but helps mileage(allthough minutely I'm sure) Go with 5W-30, I think that's what the manual reccomends in colder weather. Synthetic 5w-30 will carry the same heat as conventional 10w, and it's easier for the engine to move around, plus it lubricates better. All of this has been proven. I've run mobile one since the first day of owning both of my Montes, and never had any problems. It's pricy... but figgure it this way, if you keep the car till it's dead, I'm SURE you'll see more overall miles out of an engine running Synthetic than you would by conventional... even if you follow factory reccomended intervals.
The air filter in the 3.9 is really tough to change. Just wrench your head around and if you get the two bottom pivot-points/clips lined up, the top clipswill click right into place. And don't worry about putting too much force on the intake, I was really struggling and it never caused any problems... that's why they make the intake tube out of that accordion-style collapsable rubber stuff. If you bend one of the clamp things at the top, you should be able to bend it back easily enough, even without a pliers... but if you pay attention to the bottom pivot style clamp things, you shouldn't have any problems.
Just don't forget to put the KN badge on the intake. Some idiots tried to tell me I needed a new filter.. when I told em it was a K&N they were like oh, well we already threw it away... so I made them buy me a new one because it got covered in metal shavings from the garbage.
