Default 2006 SS Tranmission Recall?

I took my car down to the dealer the other day to have them fix the power steering recall, and take a look at the transmission as its been slipping occasionally and making a nasty grinding noise.

He dropped the pan, didn't find any shavings (which i guess is good). They don't know why my transmission is making noises.

Anyway. They're putting a new cooler on it under recall. News to me. Anyone else know of this?

i do that is why they put one on my v6 model we share the same type of trans i think you have the hd version. i was told it was a cooler line and pump asembely was going they added a external trans cooler as well as having it hooked up to the original location in the radiator they replaced that due to a flaw as well

the trans lines and trans pump and they need to install a external to it as well on top of the one already there in the radiator

Never heard of it. I went in for the same power steering recall and nothing was ever mentioned.

Maybe call GM to confirm. Try to get a TSB # that others would be able to use when calling.

Sorry for the confusion. Said he misspoke. Only one recall. It was only for the power steering issue.

Other than that, I hate the dealer.

The transmission has slammed into gear a few times, and it makes a light grinding noise... but for some reason the dealer said this is completely normal.

aye aye aye.
