Default 2003 LS Slipping Tranny?

Hey guys,
As you may or may not know I drive a 2003 Monte Carlo LS, 3.4 in it, resonator delete, u bend delete, flowmaster yada yada, and recently installed the Overkill PCM in it, hoping for it to cure my slipping transmission. My tranny slipped off lights badly, you could feel it want to go but it would slip, so I'd just let off and get back into it and it would be good. Well the PCM didnt help it at all really. Still does it fairly often, and if you dont let off and get back into it and just stay in it, it will clunk when it stops slipping. What could this be? It really worries me, so much that I have began looking into other cars...
Help me so I can keep the monte
Thanks

it slips but will clunk when the tranny grabs, shifts hard on the odd occasion with normal driving, but usually it shifts good

What's the best way to check those solenoids? I have never had an engine code come up with any relation to the tranny. Before I got my PCM I used to get the P0420 code pretty often

I Myself Received A OBD II Code PO742, I Stop Driving The Car and Look It Up On Line, I Went By The Most Common Options, Its Said That If U Have Transmission Problems With The GM 4T65E Most Likely Its An Electrical Solution (Cheaper Fix) & The Low Percentage Of The Time It's Mechanical (Very Expensive - Rebuild = $750.00 or New = $1300-$1500) But My Problem Was Electric When I Recieved The Code, But Remember Not All Electric Problems Get Pick-up By The PCM.... Somtimes It Can Be A Shortage in Ground or Internal Components....

What is the best way to tell if I do not have any codes? Is that something dealer can check

Curious to know if you got the slipping problem fixed. My car is doing the same thing.
