Question 1st gear shifting delay

hey guys so lately i've been noticing this issue:

in first gear from stop to WOT, as it gets to the shift point to go into second, it bounces at the rev limiter a little, then shifts. i talked to my shop guys, they recommended raising the rev limiter a little to see if that helps. i've tried it for about a week, and still have same results. any idea what it could be? only happens going from 1st to second no other gear. bounces for maybe a second or 2, then shifts. doesnt really feel like a rev limiter issue, just seems to be a delay in shifting. any input helps!

Maybe a bad 1-2 shift solenoid?

Yeah there are different solenoids for the shifts, you could be ruining the one.

I have no idea, I know in my old transmission I lost the 1-2 solenoid, as well as my torque converter so I just got a different transmission :P

Call some place for a quote, The part I believe is nice and cheap, it's just the labor.

where the signs and syptoms similar to what im describing? i've been thinking about getting a new tranny but its kinda expensive for my budget right now. how did you know your torque converter was failing?

could this have anything to do with a toasted differential?

sorry, just dont know a whole lot about our trannys.

Well if you want, you can shoot triple edge performance a nice email with descriptions of what is happening and they could help you on a diagnosis.

My car got soo bad when I was driving it. It would SLAM me into gear when I was at a dead stop and tried to go, used to give me a headache. Then while driving it felt like I was missing gears as the RPMs would just raise then wobble, then shift horribly.

And my car was diagnosed for a fee, then we talked options. Repair was around $1200 with labor for me, new transmission with warranty was $3k, used transmission with half the mileage and a 1 year warranty was $1200 with labor, so I went with that option.
