Exclamation 1998 monte carlo power steering problem

Hi there everyone
I have a big problem!!!
Evey time I go through water I lose power steering
I got my car from a junk yard but it's in gr8 shape & runs like a dream
All they did to it was replace the engine with less miles on it( 3.1 v6) the old eng was not taken care of / locked up
So here's my Q: dose the 3.1 M.C. Have a splash guard on it
& can anyone take pics for me so I can see what part I need or part number

I need info ASAP plz
I'm going on a trip soon with my sis to see my brother in the navy for Xmas & I don't want to go off the mountains if u know what I mean

Any mount will make it lose power steering 15 sec ~1:00
The power steering is new and the belt is somewhat new
I do have the wheel splash guard So it not the water from the wheel I think
