Default 07 SS with 2 issues.

Just got my 07 SS almost 3 weeks ago. Car seems great but i've noticed a couple issues.
#1: The car seems to burn oil.
#2: The car seems to shift well most of the time. But i've noticed a kinda "shutter" if i'm cruising at like 50-55 and accelerate a little bit and it's really annoying, some times it can turn into quite a "jerk".

Bad rings and bad tranny? Also, i'll be changing the oil tomorrow. Any suggestions on oil n filter for this motor?

you may want to look into some mobil 1.

umm as far as the shutter, you may want to have the cat checked by the dealership.

is it still under warranty?

99,000 still have just less than a thousand miles left for the engine/powertrain warranty

take the car in before your warranty is up. oil consumption is a known issue with lsx motors especially dod motors. theres a tsb out for the oil consumption problem. the shudder sounds like the transmission on its way out. also a known issue and u should take it in for that too. both of these will be pricey out of pocket so obviously the sooner you take it in the better.

Likes others said... get it in and do it soon because 1 mile over that warranty point and they wont do a thing about it

I hope this issue is a rarity. My dad has an 06 SS with only about 23,000 miles on it and if we keep it long enough it will be mine some day haha.
