How long has the marvel oil been in it? Meaning its still in there correct?

If it is... Its like a break in fluid.... You need to change the oil and filter Immediately... Your oil is now basically the viscosity of water... (Not good for any motor)

Just be sure to add lucas high mileage motor treatment to it with the new oil change... With any luck... It will return to normal..

If it doesn't....

Theres something more serious going on with that motor.... How long have you owned it and how many miles have you actually put on the car?

What oil is used for the oil change? Maybe try switching down to a 5w-30 in the cold (that's what I ran in my 3800)

I have owned the car since october. And the dealer gave me free oil changes. I have only put like 5000 miles or so on it. And we literally just put the mmo in it when I wrote that. We will b3 changing the oil to 5w30 till spring then put the 10w30 like it calls for back in it

I run 5w-30 year round, never an issue for 190,000 miles. Worth it to try it.

If that doesn't do the trick, make sure your oil pressures are where they should be too.

Drum roll please!! Put the marvel mystery oil in it. And day by day it got better. Its been close to 16 before everyday. And the ticking got better everyday. We are going to change the oil and run 5w30 in it it is definitely a sigh of relief just being a sticky lifter. And nothing major. But I will keep updating to let you guys know. Thanks for all the input !

Have 06 Monte Carlo with 3.9 started to have rough idle recently dealer told me it was a plugged injector ,did not fix it another mechanic diagnosed it to be a worn cam lobe and lifter from lack of oil to that area. Says needs engine pulled and basiclly rebuilt. Anyone heard of this problem
