They are all tinted from the inside. It would never hold up to being on the outside.

Ive read on this forum somewhere that because of the element in the back glass, people need to use a special tint. Ive also heard that after you get em tinted make sure your rear windo defroster still works as sometimes the installer of the tint will mess it up.

Mine still works and I don't think they used any special tint on it. I do remember mentioning the rear defrost to them and they weren't concerned. My MIL's has a rear window defroster and she has the el cheapo stuff - no problems there except the el cheapo stuff is junk (it faded and discolored but that's not from the defroster).
If you take it to a reputable place they should know what they are doing either way.

ORIGINAL: Silver Bullet

Hows it work with the percentage numbers?? The lower the number the darker the tint??? I think the tint that TAZ has on his car in his sig looks good......
That pic is deceiving because of the taz graphics added. Here's a better pic of my original tint. Notice how much you can see through the passenger and rear window.

My original tint peeled badly. A good tint job should last for years.

(attempt #54 to post this. this posting problem is getting REALLY old) [:@]

That's exactly how dark my new tint is and I love it. I had to keep the original tint on my back window or else I would have lost the defogger lines and antenna.
