I always use either the Meguiars Hot Shine in the spray bottle (not the aerosol can) or Black Magic Tire Wet. I got a good deal on the Tire Wet at Costco and refill my bottles with it.

Problem with the hot shine is the sprayer on the bottles only seem to last half as long as the bottle does. Seems like you have to find another bottle with a similar thread and sprayer that actually works and switch them out. I've got a spray top off a can of Whesteys bleche white that I've been using for a couple of years....

I've noticed the Tire Wet seems to let stuff stick to the tires a little bit better than the Meguiars does. Like right now, my tires have some yellow stuck to them from the pollen.... it's nothing that doesn't wipe right off with a rag though.

Dressing a tire.

Just want to ask if anybody has any tricks putting on tire shine? I seem to get it all over my rims. Thanks for any help.

I use Ammo "mud". It's made by a professional detailer and is amazing stuff. A little on the expensive side. But the nice thing is it is all PH balanced so it's not bad for your tires like aerosol spray shines and things like that. And it shines without being to crazy. I hate tire shines that literally look like the tire is wet and then you get product that slings everywhere. This stuff stick really really well and doesn't sling off, and it gives your tire a nice glimmer that adds contrast to the wheel without being over the top. And it lasts for a good while. I think I add some about once, maybe twice a month. So the bottle that you gets can last a long time. All in all I have been very pleased with it and I won't use anything else personally.

Black Magic Tire Shine.

Stays for days on end, even after the rain.

Last GM nationals, at 6am I accidentally cleaned my passenger side seat with that stuff :rotfl:

They use the same bottle for that as they do their leather cleaner, just the bottle is a different color.

That was a shiny seat!!!
