I suggest going to a power washer first, I just get on my hands and knees and clean it all off as good as I can. Then I would hit it with some simple green. The power washer will save a lot of time getting the initial stuff off.

I use Simple Green - and for the tough spots I use a steam cleaner. If I don't have access to our lift I just jack up the car & use jack stands. I'm small enough to get under the car without - but it gets a little claustrophobic.

Thats what I did last year. Put the whole car up on 8 jack stands (over kill I know), removed all the tires and that provided me plenty of space to lay underneath and clean, plus clean the wheel wells, suspension, brakes etc. Just used a citrus cleaner, safe on your skin and a bunch of rags and wiped and wiped everything down. Good opportunity to look for loose or broken parts. Now is also the perfect time to clean the reverse side of your wheels too.....

Well look into it. The hydroflouric acid is a "Ripper', removes the grime with out agitation. How do you think they get "touchless" car washing done. Most attendents dont know their chemicals. Look at the HAZMAT placard on the drums. That e-how was just one of many sites that talk about the dangerous HF / HC acid. Hydroflouric Acid and Hydrochlouric Acid.

Your car, guess just get to know what car wash uses what....

Thanks for all the input guys/gals I willpost pics when I get the deuce out of storage.

Won't be until late April as I have a lot of mods for her all over the house waiting to be installed. Just need to get some time. Converting the kids bed room (he moved out) into a guest room is taking a bit of time.
