You might want to look into CCFL's. If you go to ebay you can search for CCFL and get some good results. They're as bright as neons, and take less energy. They're also much smaller so they're easier to mount, and you can put em in that clear tubing from a home improvement store to protect it from rocks and junk. Just don't give them the idea that you need the tubing for less than legal reasons... they use the same sheite for making meth, and the cops don't play nicely with suspicion of drug making is in the picture. I'd bring in the CCFL's to make sure it fit.

Thebiggest difference (other than size)between CCFL's and neons is the wiring. They're a bit harder to wire, because the transformer box can only be like a foot or less from the tube. But in the long run they're smaller, just as bright or brighter, and avialable in many different colors and lengths. Plus if one does break somehow (the car bottoms out) they're much cheaper to replace since you only have to replace one at a time, instead of a whole side of the car.

CCFL's are lights? I always thought CCFL stood for this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=zLEhUROTt6I *WARNING* If you're at work, there could possibly be scantily clad women in the preceding video. [sm=Awwww.gif]

Absolutely Hilarious there Hamm... No CCFL is Cold Cathode FLourescent. Like neon, but the size of a pencil. Just as bright, more durable, and much easier to mount.
