Default For Those With a Dale Earnhardt Edition SS...

I have a question. I haven't been able to get to one up close in my area and have been wanting to put a red stripe on my Monte, so i wanna use what's on this car as a reference, sort of.

On the Dale Earnhardt Edition, is the red stripe above the silver a vinyl/decal or is it painted on, and how thick is it?

Thanks!

This might be an excellent question for dustybird3 (Becky). She is the proud owner of a 2002 D.E. edition. If the D.E. edition owners happen to miss this thread, maybe PM Becky.

I'm sure someone here would be more than happy to answer your question for you. But you may have to wait until people get online tomorrow, seeing as it's kinda late on a work/school night.

Here's a pic of her car for now.

It's vinyl, 3/4" thick. It's above the silver andon the black.

I already did. Here's an updated pic.
I kept the DEI stripes on the side, just because I like how they looked.
I also used a better looking shade of green, because the Amp green looks horrible on a street Monte.

If you have the black ground effects on your car, your very close to being there already. Just have to add the red stripe and the spoiler.

Here's another tidbit of totally useful information. Has anyone elso notice that there is a badging difference on the back of the Intimidators? I noticed it when I seen the pic that Taz posted of Becky's rear. (couldn't resist. sorry Becky).
Becky's '02 is badged as a Monte Carlo SS Intimidator

My '04 is badged as a Monte Carlo Intimidator SS

LOTS of other differences, but that was one I never noticed until now.
