next week is when my new transmission is getting dropped in, so i'm going to be immobile. And I'm having it done near my parents, visit them while it's getting worked on. Do you know where in the Poconos you'll be? People say it all the time and never realize how much of a stretch across the state it will be.

*edit* i'll try to get some measurements of that 3rd brake light up for you tonight. I was also wondering if you could help me out on a few things I wanna do. I wanna get a red-bow tie (like on my trunk) in vinyl for my front license plate cover and I would love to get something for my Door Sills. I saw those door sill covers on PFYC but they are way to expensive and the Monte Carlo SS is see-thru and I have a black car, so it will kind of get lost!

That gives me a chance to get some funnel cake.

Those door sills from PFYC look like there are actual pieces of plastic (not really sure) but i can cut you some decals if you want. Just tell me what size and color you want them. Also, what size do you want the BowTie for the plate and what color. If i can get sizes tonight, i can bring them with me next week (save on shipping).

 

I'll try to get everything measured tonight after I get home from the gym. Around 8pm EST. I know the PFYC things are actual plastic, but if the vinyl will stick well, why not? It'll be cheaper and if I decided to get the PFYC ones way later down the line it won't be hard to take off the vinyl and replace it. Depending on how far you are, if it's too much of a distance (plus I may be heading up to NY next weekend) if we can't get together just PM me pricing stuff and I can send you an address, etc.

I actually bought one of these from ebay from a canadian seller, it looks real clean and cost 11 bucks shipped, i'll see if i can find the link later. i put mine on about a month ago and have gotten a few compliments on it already. Its the little things that make a difference. Mine doesnt say SS on it, just monte carlo in cursive. looks real nice.

as for the look, my monte is black, like the vinyl, so no one can really notice the slightly ruffled edges anyway.

i am still in the process of putting a larger resistor in the light so that it isn't nearly as bright... at night the script gets drowned out! i may actually buy an "Intimidator" overlay and use the VHT NiteShade over the rest of it for a "sleeper" look when the brake is not depressed...

 

wow this thread blew up in the past few days that I havent been on. I love the painted tail lights thats a good idea looks really clean on your paint job.

Ill try and measure that brake light tomorrow if I would have been on the past few days I would have done it much sooner sorry :/ Ive been slackin lol but definitely interested.

I love those door sill covers btw I think with my bright red it would just pop out but at the same time I love the glowing ones that lexus's and beamers tend to have I wonder how hard that would be to make?

On my monte i got one that says supercharged in cursive. Im not sure where it came from or anything like that, it was there when i bought the car. i can get a pic of it tomorrow.
