Thanks! I like it so much better. There are aso manythings I want to do. New wheels for one, but have to save up for that one, so in the meantime I painted the bowtie emblem on the center caps black, came out okay I think. Thinking about getting a Monte Carlo sticker for the top of the windsheild. But want it kind of understated, maybe get one custom made in clear frosted lettering. I'd like to lower it an inch or so, think I'd like the stance a little better.Get some custom made floor mats with SS in black with silver stitching. And find a radio surround in the same carbon fiber design as the dash surround. LOL, how's that to start?
ORIGINAL: SpaceRiderWhat method did you use to remove ?
It wasn't to hard to remove the old emblems. I parked the car in the sun to warm them and used a blow dryer as well. Used astiff plastic putty knife and gently pried all around the outside edges. On the deck lid I put a towel between the body and the putty knife so I wouldn't scratch the paint. Used Goof Off to remove the tape residue, washed the area, wiped it with rubbing alcohol and put the new ones on. Cake and pie!

So the emblems for both the front and back were the same part number?

I like the new emblems better. Not a big fan of gold bowtie emblems with silver and black everything else.
I also like how you stuffed a K&N intake kit in the already crowded engine bay.
Just curious... how much improvement did you notice with your K&N kit?

Wow, sorry for the long delay to reply. On vacation, then playing catch up at work and all the other stuff....
Yes they are the same part number. The emblems are actually a little smaller than the stock ones, maybe 3/16". I think they are for a 95-99 Lumina, but still work ok.

I have to admit this is my favorite thing so far. You know what? Having that intake in there actually opens up that area of the engine bay. That old airbox took up a lot of room.

I definately notice better pick up from both a dead stop and from a roll. And where the car used to have a nice rumbly sound when gettin on it, it now"Growls" , lol, I don't know how to explain it better than that.
The spec sheet that came with the intake had the dyno results from an 06 Impala with the same engine as mine. The hp gain on that was about 13 1/2. Don't know how close that is to my actual gain, but response is noticeably better.
