Default Rainx

UNFORTUNATELY.....IM AN ABOVE KNEE AMPUTEE WITH RHUEMATOID ARTHRITIS.....

My local car wash has the rainx wax that shines and protects your vehicles paint...yes i know its a drive thru...But, im no longer able to do it myself.....

So for me its the next best thing....To bad someone doesnt live close to me to help me out......

But it does make it nice shiny!.....Im happy as long as it looks good...

But I totally miss doing it the right way....

With all the shows my Monte has been to, and the countless layers of wax applied by the sponsors I had back then ...( Collision Shop and a Auto and Truck Accessory Shop)....It still looks good a after i get it washed....

Even though it 13 yrs old....Its still a Head Turner....
Its now the Mrs daily driver...Did i mention shes a cute blonde?

That just enhances the Monte's Mistique. Wouldnt you agree?

On a serious note, I haven't tried the lucas oil products really at all, I'll have to check that one out!

I warn you, it's 7.50 a bottle here (which is nothing compared to mothers showtime), but it's well worth it. I keep at least 1/4 bottle in my trunk with a microfiber just in case i need it looking spiffy

If you want to do a quick wax job, you're better off getting yourself a bottle of Meguiar's NXT. It dries fast, and takes almost no work to buff off.

My bad about bumping the old thread btw: didn't look at the date.

X2 NXT 2.0 is awesome! Especially after some scratchx and ultimate polish and a few good washes in between I'd only recommend the scratchx once though even though its not an abrasive like ultimate compound, Meguiars says it will never go through the clear coat like Ultimate Compound does but who knows.. I'd rather not risk it lol.

Ultimate Compound is not very abrasive in my experience- sometimes companies re-label products as "compounds" but they aren't really that in the traditional sense of the word (i.e. a harsh rubbing compound.)

Meg's "Ultimate compound" is more like a light polish. It would be very difficult to damage your clearcoat using it. They tout it as a "one-step" kind of product, so by definition it can't be very harsh.
