Default Racing Stripes

I am looking to make my 2006 Monte Carlo LTZ look a bit more 'fast' haha, just add some style.

Thats my car. I saw this picture on wikipedia and I thought thats a real nice paint job, and thought similar stripes on my car might look nice.

I was thinking about going black with them. How much does it cost to get these added by a dealership, and do you think it would make it look better? Opinions and tips please. :

It could definitely be a good starting point for modding your Monte Carlo. Call a dealership and get a quote. Window tint is a must as well. If you go with black racing stripes, maybe a nice set of 18" black wheels with a chrome lip would pull it together. Good luck!

Thanks for the ideas. Definitely thinking about tint, and the stripes are at the top of my to do list. The rims would come way after I get some cash haha.

Stray away from thedealership. Go find a custom vinyl or paint shop. Paint would be better but it costs a bit more than vinyl. Call around local sign shops and such and price quote.

you dont really need to go to the dealer. the dealer is just going to use a vinyl anyway do it yourself just take your time. i also want to stripe the car but the gfs against it.

Besides just racing stripes you might want to invest in putting a hood scoop on your car. The best ones are the complete hood replacement with the scoop built into the hood, they cost more, but I think the appearance is much more professional looking. And you'll truly stand out with one of those, not many Monte owners of the '06-'07 have that.

X2, I got quotes on mine between $100 installed to $600 installed. No idea what the dealer would want though.

Oh and it looks like we've got the same color Montes so I'm just gonna suggest the black. I love how mine has turned out, now I just plan on redesigning my stripes myself to get them just how I want them.
