Default polishing up that ole stainless exhaust system

I plan on polishing up my magnaflows for the Monte Show Car nationals this year as they will roll a mirror under the car.

I was concerned because although my mufflers are shiney my pipes got blue and nasty from the heat. I found this link on fixing the problem with little money and lots of elbow grease. I hope it helps you. You all know how picky I am with the Deuce.

That's a nice tip I never thought of doing it that way..I'll have to try it..I used sandpaper with water...

Then grab your 1000 grit sandpaper and again rip the sandpaper into four equal pieces. Then use the sandpaper together with the metal polish to get your desired results quicker. This way is faster than just using sandpaper alone;

Wow that really looks great. I think you will be happy with the results. Are you gonna take it off to do it or crawl around underneath it?

I was looking at my Magnaflow exhaust today and it looks like crap. I thought Stainless Steel was supposed to be, I dunno, Stainless??

I guess I'll have to spend a day getting it to look like it should...

agreed mine looks bad too. the mufflers and resonators are the only things that came polished. at least my muffs look ok since theyve been in the basement for 4yrs.

My exhaust is painted with high heat exhaust paint - it's silver - don't have to polish anything.

Ya going to crawl under the Deuce. I had thought briefly about painting the pipes.... but decided stainless is awesome if is shined up right.

Yes it is a LOT of work but I don't mind
