hey guys as you see by my pic below my car doesnt look to baaaaad! Well until you get close youll realize black spots everywhere and also a quarter sized cheap on the right side. Im actually going for a whole new remake. Corvette yellow with the 2 black stripes down the center. Mayb get the sport package painted black as well(small body kit atatched) What im w3ondering is price range. I havent found anyone close that does a good job so im probably going to look in around Pittsburgh. If someone gets a price range i would highly appreciate it!

 

i know up here for a good paint job(complete inside door jams and everything..and under hood...are you gonna take the engine out and paint in there too??) could go anywhere from 4000-10000$ with good paint that is...i would stick with either sherwin williams ultra 7000 or dupont chroma premier...make sure you ask what they spray ..these 2 are the best in paint

 

no i dont think im gonna go all out and take the engine out but a few people have told me they will try to get what they can and they dont look to bad

 

be prepared to spend upwards of 3k for a nice job. You might want to considering getting the engine compartment sprayed too because it's gonna look bad when you pop the hood and it's a different color under there than the rest of the car.

 

you can also paint under the hood the fender wells ets... as a gloss black this would look decent and you can then do alot of the work your self at home

When we painted cars we jamed everything and it was done right all inside of the car was striped doors off hood off trunk off motor out or taped off real good.
depending on the custumers request

base was 6000.00 for this,
went up from there if they wanted a show and shine type paint job and not a driver stykle it was mor elike 10,000

but hat included takeign the car almost completly apart to make sure that the color change looked factory for that car and also ment replacing alot of the moldings,and rubber seals etc...

 

will it cost more to hae the engine compartment painted?

 

not a lot more since they're already doing the rest of the car...the only cost will be in pulling the motor...paint wise it won't cost much more...it would just be the price of pulling and installing the motor
