Airbrush Paint Job
Well Pam emailed me a quote for a real-fire (i want to turn the car into a fireball), at $2,000 + clearcoat. Hell, our dealership charges $2500 for a complete paint job... I think her price is quite reasonable!!
Ideal of what I want:

I am very, very impressed with that paint job. It doesn't look bright and cheesy, it looks very real, and I personally, if I didn't want to dump the money into mods, would go with that in a heartbeat.

I've always liked the realistic looking flames. The more common hotrod style flames look too cartoon-y to me, and cheapen the car. They also look like stickers. So even if you paid someone a lot of money to airbrush some hotrod style flames, from viewing distance most people would assume they're stickers. That would bother me to know my expensive paint job looks like a cheap sticker.

Damn, that's a nice 2nd gen Camaro, I would trade my Monte for that car after about a minute of deliberation. I've always loved F-Bodies, especially the second generation ones
In my opinion if anyone choses to go with flames on their car than that car had better be black and the flames had better be realistic looking. The cheap sticker look just isn't for me when it comes to flames, and the realistic ones tend to look best on black or pretty dark colored cars. It would be great to see how it comes out on your Monte.

Not too bad if the "plus clearcoat" is no more than an extra $500. $2500 total.Realistic flames aren't very time consuming unless you are layering them. The flames and the clearcoat on the camaro in the pic could be done in a day as long as the car was ready to spray the day before. Whole job in 3-4 days. Thats raking in some bucks man! Not knocking the job on the camaro but...in my opinion there is too much yellow going on. Thatneeds to be toned down more withtangerine.Around the grille is the worst of it. The yellow there is slightly green shaded from the black trying to show through it. Yellow doesnt cover over any color well thus the reason why most of these paint jobs begin with white underneath all of the flame work. Although I'm not sure if this one began with white or yellow since teh yellow is so predominant. It will look killer on your car. Let us know if you decide to go for it!
