oxidation removal..help

Default oxidation removal..help

does anyone know a good way to remove oxidation form paint. i have a 00 ss black and the hood is starting to get pretty bad..tryed to remove it myself with rubbing compound and wax but still came back..thanks

naw. caybar wont take off oxidation ..i have caybared my car in the past all it does is make your paint feel smooth like glass,real nice ..not for oxidation..

Mine does it too, get some turtle wax polish. There is red black and blue, get the black bottle. Get a wax like applicator, and rub it a bit. Makes it look alot better in my opion.

wash 3x, clay for about 4 hours. Wash, Rubbing compound, 3M Machine Polish, glaze, Liquid glass (polis, let it sit for a few hours for it to cure) seal, then wax 2x. That should do the trick. Use a DA buffer* Take your time. This should be a all day process, but well worth it. Turtle wax isnt worth the money (it useto be). If you use megliars, only use the professional line.

I had some light oxidation on my 04. I used Mother's Cleaner Wax, and it took it off great. But that was light oxidation and pollution. It was a bluish film that came off. I was amazed at how much better it looks.

what do you guys mean by oxidation?
i have some trouble on my roof but idk if were talking the same thing here

pretty much fadding paint. A thin layer of the clear is "getting worn". When buffed, fresh clear is revealed. Use a paint meter before buffing*
