hello all, im thinking about de-badging my 03 monte ss and getting the SS and MONTE CARLO emblems like an 06/07 monte SS
what you guys think?

 

I personally don't like the Monte Carlo emblems that came on the 7th gen. I've always liked the 6th gen style the best. The SS badges off the 7th gen are nice but I don't think they'd look good with the 6th gen badge styling

 

i always thought of doing that when i had my 2003...i really like the SS badging on the 7th gens..might be the minority that doesnt really care for the script writing monte carlo emblems on the 6th gen

 

I prefer the script emblems from the older generations. You can find them on eBay.

 

I like the script emblems better too but it's your car and you have to do what you like.

I say do it. I did it to my 02 Monte SS before she got totalled. Here is a few pics. I also got a mini SS logo from a Cobalt SS interior and used in on the trunk.

I used the side logos from an HHR/Impala/Monte, but I have a better suggestion. I like the way they looked on my Monte, but I feel that if they were the same size as the 6th gen SS logos, it would look better, so try buying the Rear SS logos for an HHR from your Chevy dealer because those are almost identical on size. (they should be pretty cheap, with my employee discount they were like 10 dollars a piece so they can't be too much without a discount)

 

Yea they look good, but I'm
Wanting to place them on the same locations as the 06/07's
The SS badges on the front bottom of the Doors
And the MONTE CARLO emblem on the trunk and the SS emblem
On the opposite side of the trunk

As I can see everyone likes the script lol
I'm guna have to think about it as I don't want to trash my script Emblems lol :p

 

If it were me, I'd keep the script emblems - that is one of the few things (+ the knights emblem) that links our cars to the past.

 

I agree with that PLUS, I like the SS logos that are on the car already.
