Default new monte owner...spoiler question please

Hi, just bout "02" ss and i want to change the manufacturer spoiler (lip spoiler) to a wing. My question is whats the difference with the wing spoiler i see on the net for $65 and manufacturer at $159. Also, i see spoilerdepot has one at $115. why so many diff. prices they all look the same. is there a major difference in quality? i know about the diff. bolt pattern no matter which i go with.

thanks if you can help

The SLP and Dealership designs spoilers are the only one's out there that bolt up using the factory holes.

Cause in many cases it will cost you more to try to make something yourself. Of course this does not hold true for everything, but I'd be willing to bet you would spend more in $$$ and time making your own spoiler. Additionally, I don't know about you, but I would hate to see the outcome if I tried to make my own spoiler.. lol

yeah, making a spoiler would be ugly. When I was modding my honda, the "in" thing was JDM. Everybody wanted true japanese domestic market parts on their car. One of the jdm parts for the Accords was the Mugen Grill. People would pay over $100 for em. I paid $8.99 for a fiberglass kit, $6.99 for some bondo, $3 for some sandpaper, and $8 for paint and modified my existing grill to match the mugen grill everybody was drooling over. Another hot item were the black housing headlights. People were paying $300 for a set. I paid $8 for paint and $4 for some silicone and modified my existing headlights to match the $300 one's.

Do you have any pics of those parts you made vs the factory jobbers?

Eh, i'm not that good. I just could not justify paying $300 for some damn headlights that looked exactly like mine, except w/black housings. I just couldn't. So I did some homework, seen how easy it'd be to open up the headlights, and since i'm handy w/masking and painting, I went to town! Let me upload the pics to my FTP and I'll show you the real deal vs. my homemade stuff.
