Default Mother's Back to Black on Weather Stripping

Apparently, Mother's Back to Black is the way to go in terms of rejuvenating any black plastics and rubbers hoses in the engine bay. Is it a good idea on the rubber weather stripping around all the glass on the car? Mine has definitely faded. Looking forward to your results!

Personally I could never get Mothers back to black to really work well for me. I had better results with meguairs version of it, I can't for the life of me think of the name of it right now. But for me personally it gave all my trim a much deeper and richer black then the mothers did.

Clean the weatherstrip with soap and water, then apply white lithium grease to them. If the rubber isn't deteriorated badly they will look like new. The lithium grease also helps to prevent those annoying squeaks that dry rubber vibrating against the body can create.

I've used it and I think it sucks - doesn't last at all. I have found my own secret weapon for a trim reconditioner - did wonders for the sunroof bezel which was turning grey from the sun.

Do share? the window trim and sunroof trim on my monte are horrendously oxidized and nothing has worked

It's really more like a dye and I got it from Griot's Garage.
