Default How to safely clean dash of '07 Monte?

When I bought my '07 Monte LT pre-owned from its respective dealership in May 2009, I noticed that their detail dept. had applied the glossy protectant-like substance to the top of the dashboard for appearance's sake. Ever since, that vinyl surface has been incredibly sticky. Just the slightest touch of a fingertip will leave a fingerprint, and it attracts dust. I have tried multiple applications of Armor-All dashboard cleaning wipes (and that's all), but nothing can get rid of the stickiness. All I want is for that vinyl dashboard top to go back to the look and feel of what it was when it was new. Is there a safe substance I can use to accomplish this? -M

Default dash board

.....Try cleaning it with warm water ONLY and then add a little soap if it does'nt come off. Use 409 if you have to ?
Then use the Meguires Protectant spray. Apply it with a sponge so won't you get it all over your windshield. NEVER USE ARMOR-ALL.That stuff was o.k. twenty years ago but it turnes everything yellow over time. Hope this helps.

I only wipe my dash and interior with a dry microfiber cloth. I never apply anything to any part.

Make a MILD solution of Simple Green and water. Clean everything down real good with a rag. And then I recommend Vinylex to coat it with a nice shiny protectant. It gives it protection from UV rays, and makes it shiny, but does not leave the surface sticky, great product!
