After I clean my car I get a lot of water marks because i have well water. what should I use to get rid of them? my car is black so it's really noticeable.

 

Depends on how bad the water marks are, but they will buff out with rubbing compound, and/or polishing compound and/or ultra fine polishing compound (listed in order of coarseness). I use 3M Perfect-It II. You may need to start coarse and work to ultra fine. Keep in mind you're removing clear coat, so don't over do it. If it's limited to a few small areas you can spot treat by hand with a microfiber cloth. Finish with Polymer sealant and a good wax.

 

What about using vinegar? I've done that on windows with some success.

What time of day do you typically wash the car? Is it softened well water or not? My Dad is on well water, softened, and I never really had that big of an issue with it. A good coat of wax will make the water easily bead up and run off. After you're done washing, take the spray nozzle off the hose and rinse the entire car from top to bottom with just water rushing out of the hose - it clears away the majority of the remaining water on the car so you don't have to do as much drying.

 

I got a Black Monte Carlo also and it is best to wash & dry in the in the shade. I agree with Matt on what he has suggested.
I have seen some Air Blowers or dryers that I want to try. That may help also.
We have terrible hard water where I live 32k grains bad. This will definitely leave some spots if you aren't on top of it.
I have been using a Nanowax by eagle one you spray on and wipe off as it is wet. It seems to reduce the water spots.
