Default Carbon Fiber Engine Covers

Man it's been awhile since I've been on here, not enough time or money, so i stay away to keep my self from temptation lol.

Anyway, for my Fabrication class I'm making a carbon Fiber engine cover for my 01 Monte SS. It's going to be highly based off the original one, with a few changes. Haven't designed it completely yet but the deadline for it done and complete is december 7th.

Since I'm making a mold it got me thinking, I can easily make more then one of these once the mold is complete. So i thought I would ask..Would anybody be interested in one? The good news is the carbon fiber fabric I'm using is free, yes FREE, and i have a ton of it. Secondly, I enjoy making them..so If anybody is interested I'd be willing to make them one and sell it to you for pretty cheap (i'm thinking less then $100) depending on the cost of resin and how much I need.

So just thought I;d throw it out there and when i get the mold done I'll be sure to post pictures

That's a pretty steep price for an engine cover, though I know the time and product is probably pricey...

I'd definitely be interested in seeing how it turns out though

i looked some up and cf ones were in the 300 range, but yeah I'd pretty much be charging for the material, not so much for the time. maybe like 10 bucks a piece. Originally, if it turns out nice, I was thinking 40-50. We'll see what the materials come out to be

haha sweet

Where are you in Philly?? And definitely after one is made we can completely talk about the process and everything, because I've been meaning to even paint mine still and never got around to it yet.
