I'm a detailer (a hobby of mine, I have a thread showing my work too) but you're kind of far from me since i'm in Northern California. But if you're ever in the area look me up and I'll do it up for ya

We are in Wauconda IL and my fiance details cars on the side - he could be a professional, but it's too hard on him physically to do it full time. PM me if you are interested. He is available most weekends. You would have to come down here as our garage has the proper lighting.

Hopefully proper lighting doesn't consist of any fluorescent lights

04MonteLS, I am curious. With fluorescent lights being the most harsh lighting available, why wouldn't they be the ideal light to go with while detailing? Just wondering...

My thoughts exactly - fluorescents will show every flaw in the paint.

Halogens are on the top for finding swirls and imperfections followed by LED or Sunbeam lights. Fluorescents are actually the worst lighting to find imperfections. Fluorescents offer great light dispersion and lighting up a room but you should have some Halogen lights handy as well

Thats something for me to think about, not a bad idea at all. your not that far, so it may work out. How much does he charge, i don't want nothing for free ~ I don't want anyone thinking that I want anything for free because I used to do it as I stated, and its a TON of work.... Let me go over it with the wife and Ill get back to you. Would you want the car dropped off and left there for a week or so so he could do it at his convenience? let me know.... and Ill be getting back to you... THANKS EVERYONE.... MJ
