Best wax for a black Monte?

So I'm TIRED of scraping all the white residue from all the little cracks and crevaces around all the trim and emblems. Ther MUST be something other than white wax that is just as good. I've tried Turtle Wax Ice, and I like the stuff, but there is no long lasting durability to it. I'm a Meguires NXT fan, but I'm tired of the residue.

HELP!!!!! What do all of the other MCF family member use to wax your BLACK Montes????

Hi Wayne,
I don't know `if this is the best, but it's what worked for me
on my Black Honda

I would first clay bar & then apply the below product.

Even `if U don't use the Liquid, the Vid's are
borderline X-Rated  Entertaining 4-Sure :D

I also love Eagle One Detailer, in between Liquid Glass.
It will be interesting to see what member's post.
We have several Member's that are pro Detailers
and I look forward to seeing what they post.
Good Luck
Black is beautiful, but takes extra care

Well Wayne, when I owned my Black Mini, I used Meguires NXT 2.0 liquid wax and I applied it with my Porter Cable orbital buffer, and I didn't get a lot of white residue. I also found that the NXT wax was pretty easy to take off with a microfiber cloth.

I use a microfiber cloth too, but I know what you mean by the reside. It gets stuck around the badges and on the window moldings. And you cant see it till after you wash it for the first time after you wax.

wayne, i've been using the meguiar's NXT also, and the quick detailer in between waxing. try a q-tip to get the crud out. i have some too once in a while, mine is usually in the thin openings where the panels meet.

As always, thanks for the cosign!

S100, found at your local Harley Davidson dealership, is what you want. You get no residue, can layer it for additional depth and gloss, is about as easy to apply and remove as there is (even if you let it sit on the paint for 2hrs, it's still just as easy to remove as doing so right away) and it's durable. Also, it doesn't stain plastic/rubber trim and can be used, with awesome results, on your glass as well. It's probably the best $16 you'll spend for your car.

Thanks all for the tips. We've been using Meguires NXT and the Quick Detailer for quite a while. Just seems like the residue keeps coming back. Nice shine, and durable, but it is NOT friendly on the rubber trim and plastic. I want something either clear or black. No more white wax for me. Are all of the waxes recommended either clear or black?
