Default RE: 00 to 06 front end conversion question

I could be wrong, but I believe you should be able to swap the hood, fenders, headlights, and front bumper cover, and fog lights without a major problem other than all the money you just sunk into your car.

The rear bumper is different also. One tell-tale sign is the back-up lights. They are closer together on the 06/07's. The spoilers are different for the 06/07's also. But I really wouldn't worry about the tiny differences in the back. People are going to know it's not an 06/07 as soon as they look through the window and see the interior. The entire inside of the car is completely different.

I can't believe nobody know this info. First of all there are only 6 generations of Monte Carlo's. 00-07 is the sixth and final. Second the frame is exactly the same I have an 02 and put a 06 SS kit on mine. I changed the rear bumper, taillights, spoiler, side skirts, and front clip. It lined right up the headlights clip onto the fender bracket and frame and the bumper also bolt onto the fender and frame. I found the parts off craigslist for $700. Also the Impala front end will fit and line up 06 and up. I will post pic later u can't tell unless u see my interior.

Wow, MrSSMC02 brought back an OLD OLD thread. Of course the front ends are interchangeable. All you would need is the hood, fenders, and bumper for the front end. If you've done it, that's cool. Post a pic of that front end with a 3800 in it and that will be proof enough

I put a CAI w/ a K&N filter on magnaflow cat no resonator on thats it, it's fast enough for me. I just wanted the new look. I forgot also u have to take the door moldings off but there are holes behind them. Buy the new SS emblems off eBay $28 for the pair. Mine look way better than that I will post pics.
