Hello everyone, I'm about to buy an 05 SS and well I dont really know that much about this cars. I have an 95 Impala SS which I've had since H.S, but I've always liked this cars. I just want to know more about this cars, is there a lot of aftermarket parts? what kind of hp can you get with a few bolt on's? any problems? general info... thanks in advance :D

I can't give you specifics on the SS, but I do know that there are plenty of aftermarket support for it's motor, the 3800. Looks like you're a noob like me. I just bought a 2004 LS day before yesterday[8D]

There are quite a few aftermarket parts for our Monte's. I think you'll be a happy camper with it... I have an '03 that I absolutely love.


By far the best $$$/HP add/bolt on would be the turbo kit that can be found at either ZZP or PFYC... Of course the other bolt on part you'll have to add to that turbo kit is a trans. ZZP rebuilds a trans that will put up with the added HP as long as you have the $$$ to throw at it.
