Eagle #1 raised YELLOW letter tires-Jeff Gordon monte

I am in need of 4 Eagle #1 raised yellow letter tires for my Jeff Gordon Monte Carlo , I was told Goodyear doesn't make them anymore and I HAVE to match my yellow #24 HELP!

I gotta watch ebay closer. I woulda paid $652 in a second if the tires were new. They are very hard to find. My painted tires are a pain in my ass

It appears that Clara did a search, and the results gave her a 3 year old thread.

To Clara...

I've found out from other websites that the original Goodyears that came on the Jeff Gordon Montes are long since out of production.

The closest thing you'll find are the Goodyear Eagle #1 NASCAR tires. They come in white lettering. But most people in the same boat as you simply buy the tires and get a yellow tire lettering pen.

Here's a link to the tires I'm talking about:

http://www.goodyeartires.com/goodyea...ea=Performance

They're not exactly the same as your original Jeff Gordon tires, but they're the closest Goodyear makes now.

If someone is looking for original raised letter tires for a jeff gordon monte, I am interested in selling four of them. they are used but i would say there is another good 15,000 to 20,000 miles left.

how much? how much tread is left ?

ssmonte0285 09-21-2013 02:12 AM

If anyone is interested I have a brand new set of gold letter tires never been mounted and still have the blue coating on them for sale.

bobkl 09-22-2013 09:58 PM

ssmonte0285 how much and what size....are the sidewalls cracked?

ssmonte0285 09-22-2013 11:50 PM

They are the 225/60R16 and still have the protective coating. Never been mounted and no cracking....these tires are pristine...just no longer have my newer monte.

I just need one, I have one that is about to flat, the sidewall is coming apart I hate to have three of these and one odd one. I've been searching forever for these tires.

Brand new originals

I have a set of brand new original yellow letters, super strictly stored, still feel like a brand new tire as well. Zero rot. Would drive on them with my kids in the car.

I never thought such a thing still existed! I am interested, but I'm also in Canada and would never buy such a set of tire without personally inspecting them. Plus they'd suck to ship. I am not your buyer. But somebody is going to want those. What are you asking?

I didn’t either lol

i didn’t think so either, but I got real lucky lol

that IS a long drive, and I am in Alabama too, but depending where you are they may be shoals to my fathers in Michigan where you cross and pick up, only other set I could find was eBay for $1800, so if you make the trip or get them, I suppose I’ll take 1000, probably worth more, but I’m not connected to people in that caliber lol they would look real good on my wagon but I can’t bring myself to run them, they’re simply too special
