Will These Fit SS Rims?
A guy on CL is selling brand new Eagle LS-A's for $80 each. They are 225/60 18's. Tire Rack says 225/50's are okay. Will these fit the stock 18's?

Looks like you are adding a little too much to the overall diameter, I think that would hit the strut in the rear |
They'll definitely fit the rims. 235 vs 225 isn't enough difference to matter. Like Chibi showed though, that's almost 1.5" taller in overall height!

For me, taller is better. I hate the profile of the RS-A's, they look like they belong on a ricer.
Is there anyway to find out if they will hit the strut besides installing them? Is there a website somewhere that gives a flat "yes" or "no," like the tire stores have? |

Changing the overall height has multiple issues- clearance, ride height (+3/4" in theory with this tire), handling, and the speedometer accuracy would all be impacted. Just getting the right rim size eliminates all of those issues. |

My parents hated the low profiles on the stock SS rims also. I bought them 16s as a christmas gift so they can save money on tires and have a smoother ride |

Look at your current set up, measure the distance to the strut. I doubt there is 2 inches of room there currently.

That's why I was trying to specify 2 inches of room, would leave about a half inch, which I believe is what is there stock.
