tire sensors

I know I haven't been around for a while.

But this is what I am facing I just got a new set of tires for my monte and new sensors as well.

unfortunitly I can not reset them there new even tire kingdom couldn't reset them they said I had to go to the dealer because the sensors came from them and I should try them.

I am stumped because I tried to reset them threw the dash buttons but all I got was two toots from the horn and nothing else.

I really don't want to spend more money just to have the money to just go down the drain like it just did.

any ideas thanks

Not sure if it is the same on the 2007, but I had to reset mine on the 2002 and I had to turn on the ignition (but not start) then use the light switch to go from off to parking lights 3 times within 5 seconds.

On my 2006 SS only the dealer can re-set them i have never been charged for the service

5 minute process. they have a scanner and point then point it at each wheel

I reset my sensors twice per year, snows and summers, it's easy and in the manual.
Start the reset on the DIC, 2 honks, then let air out of front left, 1honk in 30 seconds, then let air out offront right, rear right, rear left.
One trip around the car, done in two minutes.your have to let air out for it to sense the Change.
Then fill them back up to normal.

This
IIRC it is 10 lbs that you remove from each tire.

Thank you every one for the impute.

But I found out it was the thing that sent the signal and read them that was not working.

At least I got that fixed.

it was expensive because it resides under the dash board.

the part was not but the labor was at least I don't have a dic display any more saying any thing
