Hello All...I was wondering if anyone has used any type of tire sealent in their tires with the tpms system?? The bottle says that it is tire monitor system safe but i dont know....Thank you in advance for any help...

you mean like you got a flat? as long as its not a thick substance in it, i could see it eating away at the sensors if it had something bad in it. thats all that i can see happening or clouding the signal. i would just get the tire fixed it costs like 18 bucks to fix if its a hole.

Well i mean keeping a couple of cans of that fix-a-flat tire sealent in the car just in case you get a flat tire on the road. I have used it on an older car i have without the tpms system and it works out great....I was just wondering if it would affect the sensors for the tpms system....Anybody else have a comment, please express your oppinion or idea...Thanks

I don't see you having any problem with it. The sensor is located on the rim, and with physics you know that the slime or whatever will spin out to the tire rather then stick on the rim. I have pulled some tires off rims that did have it and you do get a very light coating of the stuff on the rim but its mainly in the center and not so much by the valve stem. So I really don't see you havingn any problem if you NEED to use it.
