Default sway bars

Does anyone know the size of the sway bars for a 02 SS? I'm wanting to install some aftermaket ones that are 1 1/4" front and 7/8" rear, but not if the factory bars are close to the same size. Comments?

I've requested more info on this one and should have more for you tomorrow. But, there are sway bar kits out there for our cars that do improve performance quite a bit.

I'll gather some links and more info for you soon.

Thanks. The only ones I have found are at speedycarparts.com. I would like some other options to choose from. Also, I found the size on the 06 models, but thats all.

I've been looking. All my EPC says is what the part # is. No size at all.

I found where the 06 model is 34 mm front and 18 mm rear. This converts to 1 1/3" front and 7/10" rear. The ad states these are larger than previous models.

The aftermarket ones I found are 1 1/4" and 7/8". That doesn't sound like much of a difference from stock. What does everyone think?

rchurch, there are 3 different suspension options for an 02. FE1, FE2, FE3. Which one do you have and I'll call GM and see what they can tell me.

Where can I get the tech data on that kit? Sounds like a good deal, but the site doesn't give any info.
