Replacement Quick Strut with 20" rims. Question about it.
First of all i have 20" rims on a 2000 Monte SS (sig)
So I am about to order some REAR replacement quickstruts, either Struttek or Monroe, (I am on a budget lol) I have 141k miles and im almost 100% positive they have never been replaced, the whole back bounces every small bump I hit and its causing my tires to rub. So im starting with the rear and doing the front when i can afford. The Strutek and I believe the Monroe say "Not for 17"-18" wheel" I am wondering if I would be fine since I am not looking for performance but just a replacement shock because mine have absolutely no stiffness? I do not want to order these and the car sit even lower. Thanks for any input. |
Well the "not for 17/18" wheel" means that the spring mount sits lower which might cause some rubbing on them wheels. But why not go with kyb. There less than 300 for all 4. Replacing worn struts will actually raise it from what u have now to stock height.

im not sure but i would just ditch the 20's =p

are all the struts really under 300 for all four?? i need just one, but if i can replace all four right now, i am down with that!!! i am definately on a budget!! but if i want performance all i need is springs to lower the car right??

The Struttek id only be spending about $200 total, and if i got kyb id be spending around $325 |
