Red caliper covers?
 

Does anyone make a red caliper cover to fit a stock 16" rim? Or do I have to upgrade to a 17" rim to get anything? I have been exhaustively looking for one that will fit a 16" rim and it seems everything I'm finding says you have to use a 17" rim to get clearance?

Why not just paint the caliper itself red?

it would be much cheaper to paint the calipers but if you want caliper covers here they are

200 is too much just for caliper covers, they are nice but jeez

I've seen current Camaros and Mustangs with the fake caliper covers. I am not a fan, I feel it cheapens the look of the car.

I'm a fan of paint or powder coating. Paint is the cheapest option and with the right prep can also be an awesome option.

I also think caliper covers look cheap and tacky. I would paint them personally.

The link for caliper covers still says for 17" or larger. Your 16's may have to stay only slathered with a couple coats of some good high temp paint. My OEM 16's are painted, need to redo every couple of years it seems.

The only drawback to painting is I'm getting a TON of brake dust from the front....so much so that is has stained the Konig Lace rims I have on it. I'm looking to buy new rims though and sell these to a buddy as I don't really care for the look of them. So my thinking was if I threw on come covers it would cut down on the brake dust? Unless there is a certain "no dust" brake pad? I think the current ones I have I bought from Autozone and I went middle of the road price wise. I just don't want the new rims to get all stained up from brake dust.

Brake dust will more then likely cover the caliper covers as well.
I use Bendix Ceramic Brake Pads and AC Delco Advantage rotors, they are not too crazy on brake dust but good stopping power.
You may want to try some different cleaners for the brake dust issues.
If I keep up on car cleaning, concentrated Simple Green works great, spray on, agitate with a nylon brush (found Dollar Tree has a few decent ones) and then hose off.

For more stubborn issues and stains, I pull out Eagle One Aluminum Mag cleaner (have not used that in YEARS).

I highly doubt covers will help with brake dust. Look up hawk performance street/ceramic pads. There very good with brake dust
