Default Rear Brakes

Got an oil change today, after the mechanic said I should look into my rear brakes, just wondering approx. cost of replacing rear brakes on a 1999 Z34 ??

You can probably figure on at least $100 per axle (meaning front brakes or rear brakes) when paying a shop to do it.

A 99 Z34 would have rear disks. Basically what you would be looking at would be new brake pads, and then having the rotors checked out and either turned- or possibly buying new rotors if they are badly damaged (ie rear pads were completely gone and down to metal on metal).

If you're going to do it yourself- you can get prices online at Autozone to get a ballpark- or you can go into any parts store and ask for prices for rear pads and rotors (again, depending how bad they are). If you're going to have a shop do it, just start calling around.

I looked for my 02 Monte and for just rear brake pads at auto zone 19.99 but that's the cheap ones.
