Always wanted the Checkered Rims...now after a long time searching finally got 'em! :) Just got the '87 LS last weekend (our project Monte), and picked up 5 checkered rims (gotta have a matching spare ;)) and 6 NOS hub center caps all for $328.00 thanks to Craigslist and Ebay. Now just need to make the rest of the car look as good! lol... What does everyone think of these rims?

Those are nice looking wheels. Only available in Mexico and can be hard to come across here in the States.

Thanks for the info! I never knew they were only in Mexico...I tried looking online for the history of them and how many they made, but couldn't find anything other than the first year they made them was 1981. And they really are hard to find! I'd love to hear more about them if anyone knows! :)

You could get them in the us but you had to order them, I saw a sat on Craigslist goin for like $100 too bad I don't have the money and stupid 80's 14in rims..
