Default Owners of 06-07 SS with FE4 suspension

How would you describe the feel of your ride? Smooth or skull-rattling? Comparing the smooth and comfy ride of my old LT to the new SS, there's a noticeable difference in the stiffer suspension. The reviews say "the FE4 suspension is tuned to provide a sporty ride that complements the 5.3L small-block V-8’s performance. It offers increased stiffness and ride control, with reduced body lean and greater high-speed stability."

So, just wanted to get some other opinions.

i pick up my 06 ss from the dealer tommorrow. the salesman took me for a ride on saturday (i can't drive it until my hand controls get installed later this week) but it rode just as nice, if not nicer than my mom's 08 impala lt. it didn't really feel stiff but there was way less body roll going into the corners.

Congratulations on your new SS! Are you getting the black one?!?!? It is SO comfortable and a very precise-handling car. Extremely FAST and fun to drive. Wishing you many safe & happy miles together and POST SOME PICTURES!

I had an 06 LT before the SS and there is a big difference in the cornering, but it still retains the comfortable ride.
There is more to be desired in the cornering department, still a lot of body roll compared to other sporty cars but it makes driving it fun. I like getting tossed in my seat lol. makes you feel like you are going faster than you are.A lot ofpeople on another forumhave the installed front and rear strut tower braces and say it improves the cornering/handling a lot. They are not that expensive. I am happy with the handling of my SS.

Custom95 congrats on the SS. Whats under the hood of your 95 maro? Looks really nice.

I'm not too savey when it comes to suspension, but I know that when it is the slightest bit wet out my 06 Monte SS likes forget that I am turning the wheel. Instead she heads for the nearest side walk, sign post or group of small children. What exactly is this tower brace, where can I get one and is it a pain to install?

LoneStarSS,
The tower braces are very easy to install. Front one goe under the hood. Back one in the trunk.
Follow the link below you can buy them from there and see what they are.
