OEM 16"rims to 17"oem star rims

Hi all, I cant seem to log into my old account which is PINKFLOYD_ but it's been a while since my last visit. To say the least I have hit a coyote and have has a small accident in the rear from a ford 250 hitting me in the parking lot. Anyway lol, I've been restoring her from head to toe some what. I currently have the 16" oem "star" rims. To my eye it bugs me that they look "too smallish" to fit the rest of the car. The thing is I've recently replaced the struts in the front and back for 16". My question, hopefully not sounding stupid, can I get the 17" rim with out any modifications? It's one small inch but to my eye it just seems more appealing of a look, especially chrome.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the only difference in the struts is a 1/2 inch in travel. So the larger wheel could rub more likely over bumps - in theory. I think you'll be okay

They won't rub, you'll be fine.

I put the chrome 17 inch ones on my car no problem at all

Just make sure you run a 225/55/17 instead of the 225/60/16

Thank-You guys for your help!

Your speedometer will be off a little bit while driving.

0.4% difference, not even noticeable.
